Wine Coolers

Low Calorie Wine Coolers
Low calorie wine coolers do not have the same health benefits as wine does.  Wine coolers are normally a mixture of fruit juice and wine. It can also be carbonated for a low calorie wine spritzer.  Therefore, the health benefits of consuming these wine coolers are quite limited.  Nevertheless, wine coolers are beneficial when one talks about weight loss and vitamin acquisition.

Generally a wine cooler is made from 50 percent fruit juice and 50 percent wine.  Therefore, if you drink a low calorie wine cooler daily and in moderation, you will benefit from the various health benefits that wine provides to its drinkers.  However, you may not benefit as much as a wine drinker will.  Benefits of wine include slowing the aging process, preventing Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, Parkinson’s disease and cancer, increasing coordination, improving eyesight and more.  This is due to the antioxidants found in all types of wine such as resveratrol.

The wine used in wine coolers is generally of a lesser grade of wine which may have not fermented for a long time.  Fermentation is not only beneficial in terms of the alcohol proof but it also leads to the increasing amounts of antioxidants in the wine.

Great for people who are on diets
Low calorie wine coolers are great for people who are on diets and are looking to cut down on calories.  Studies have proven that people who consume fewer calories lead longer and healthier lives without disease.  Wine coolers mixers that are excellent for low calorie intake include those wine coolers and spritzers that have been made using limes, oranges and grapefruit mixed with a small amount of sugar.  If you are looking for an even healthier wine cooler, when adding sugar, add brown sugar instead of white or artificial sweetener as it is more beneficial to your health.
